A 501(c)3 No-Kill Parrot Rescue
Ziggy's Haven Bird Sanctuary, Inc wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part in providing support and education to parrot owners in our community.
Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
Here at Ziggy's Haven Bird Sanctuary, Inc, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2003, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Parrot Shelter upon: support, empowerment, and progress. Hope Is Where the Heart Is
At Ziggy's Haven Bird Sanctuary, Inc we are raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people and parrots who need them most. We believe that children are our future. By providing educational programs and events as well as volunteer opportunities geared towards our youth, we can teach future generations to be responsible pet owners. Our hope is this will reduce the number of parrots and pets being placed in rescues and kill facilities by keeping more pets in the home. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of parrots and other companion animals.

Who We Are
Ziggy's Haven was founded in 2003 by a 15 year old girl who had lost her beloved umbrella cockatoo, Ziggy, to a digestive blockage. What started as a small home based rescue has now become a large scale sanctuary and adoption facility on a newly purchased 13 acre commercial property.Â
Sadly, the young girl who wanted to save the animal world was killed in a car accident. Instead of closing the doors, her parents decided that her memory would live in on by keeping the rescue and her goals alive and flourishing.
Here at Ziggy's Haven Bird Sanctuary, Inc, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2003, we have been determined to make an impact. To date, we have found placement for over 1000 parrots, have over 75 parrots in our Lifetime of Care program and have helped over 200 parrots remain in their homes through our outreach programs. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
