JUNGLE FRIENDS PRIMATE SANCTUARY
|
Ziggy's Haven is very proud to be affiliated with Jungle
Friends Primate Sanctuary. We thoroughly enjoyed
ourselves on our recent visit and are very impressed with
the hard work of Kari Bagnall and her volunteer staff.
During our meeting and tour, Kari explained that many
primates are waiting new homes, many of which come
from research labs. We will be working very hard with Kari
and Jungle Friends in raising the much needed funds in
order to build the habitats needed for these primates.
Kari has several events going on solely for the purpose of
giving these monkeys a safe and permanent place to live
At the moment, Jungle Friends is nearing capacity and
has over 100 monkeys retiring from laboratory research
on a waiting list to come in. Jungle Friends Primate
Sanctuary has a special fund available for this reason
and as soon as enough money is donated, we will begin
construction at Ziggy's Haven on several new primate
habitats so that we can provide these monkeys with a new
lease on life. Be sure to let Jungle Friends know that your
donation is earmarked for habitat's at Ziggy's Haven.
Please check out Jungle Friends website. If you can help
make a difference, please do so. The money you donate
to the Lab Monkey Retirement Fund will be used to build
habitats for retired lab monkeys. Please help us give
these monkeys trees to play in, branches to hang from
and a life free of small confinement.
Monkeys needing placement include cotton top tamarins,
squirrel monkeys, marmosets, capuchins and macaques.
Once the monkeys are placed they will all need sponsors!
Again, we are very pleased and proud to be working
together with Kari and the Monks and look forward to a
long and rewarding relationship for both Ziggy's Haven,
Jungle Friends and of course the monkeys!
